摘要: To determine whether the relationship between infarct size and ventricular performance, volume, compliance could be altered favorably, captopril was administered to rats for 3 months following coronary artery ligation. Baseline left right systemic arterial pressures aortic blood flow, maximal stroke volume cardiac indices attained during a loading, were measured. Passive pressure-volume relations of ventricle determined, slopes segments this relation analyzed characterize chamber stiffness. In untreated rats, end-diastolic pressure progressively rose (from 5-28 mm Hg) as function size, whereas, in captopril-treated filling remained within normal limits (5 +/- 1 all but those with extensive infarcts. Chronic therapy reduced baseline mean total peripheral resistance, yet maintained outputs both without pumping ability declined increasing peak index The vitro volumes significantly less than rats. maintenance forward output from lesser dilated yielded an ejection fraction treated moderate large infarcts that elevated compared comparable size. Left stiffness, which fell increased normalized by chronic therapy. Thus, attenuated remodeling (dilation) deterioration performance observed myocardial infarction.
