Experimental Rankine Cycle Engine Designed for Utilization of Low Temperature, Low Pressure Heat

摘要: This report describes the development of, and results obtained from, an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) engine aimed at utilization of low temperature heat sources. The activities carried out in order to assess feasibility have been: engine test rig design set up working fluid thermodynamic choice engine performance mechanical behaviour evaluation laboratory investigation on chemical compatibility thermal stability candidate working fluids.
