摘要: In ion mobility spectrometers, space-charge field has a significant effect on the diffusion and drift of ions, if initial density is higher than 106 cm−3. Owing to this effect, distribution in time space cannot be described by Gaussian curve any longer. These non-Gaussian distributions change shape spectra not only quantitatively, but also qualitatively, which can lead misinterpretation spectra.
