摘要: Food nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) footprints are indicators for determining the losses of N P over food production (FP) consumption (FC) chain. Yemen is an interesting case because, given country’s heavy dependence on imports, insecurity, poverty, footprint (NF) (PF) could affect its future development. However, NF PF time have not yet been studied in Yemen. Therefore, this first paper to compute Arabian Peninsula (a study from Yemen) by adjusted model N-Calculator, computing virtual (VNFs) (VPFs) factors main foodstuffs. The (kg cap−1 year−1) elevated 5.56 1.20 1960s 15.2 4.79 during 2011–2017, respectively, while national (Gg [109 g] increased 27.7 6.77 358 122 respectively. Cereal was largest contributor past 57 years. FP contributes approximately 80% 86% total 2011–2017. if possible, best way consumers farmers decrease focus efforts increasing FC foodstuffs with less VNFs VPFs. vegetable-fruit, legumes, starchy, eggs, poultry, fish should be as their low. people suffer shortage resources lack awareness, thus they do opportunity choose that low PF. Accordingly, policymakers encourage integrated approaches introduce powerful tools controlling crop livestock conjunction enhancements nutrient use efficiency.
