Parental Occupational Exposures to Endocrine Disruptors and the Risk of Simple Isolated Congenital Heart Defects

摘要: This study aims to explore the associations between parental occupational exposures endocrine disruptors (EDs) and simple isolated congenital heart defects (CHDs). A case-control with standardized data collection involving 761 children CHDs 609 without any malformations was conducted in Sichuan Province of China from March 2012 August 2013. An adjusted job exposure matrix used for EDs assessment. Logistic regression analysis performed assess CHDs. Maternal age at births, maternal education level, gravity, parity, induced abortion, folic acid use, medication drinking capacity area residence periconceptionally were selected as confounding factors mothers. For fathers, we following factors: paternal smoking, frequencies periconceptionally. phthalates are associated perimembranous ventricular septal defect (PmVSD) (P = 0.001, OR 3.7, 95 % CI 1.7-8.0), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) 0.002, 3.8, 1.6-8.9), secundum atrial (s-ASD) 0.008, 3.5, 1.4-8.7) pulmonary valve stenosis (PS) 0.035, 4.2, 1.1-16.0), alkylphenolic compounds PmVSD 0.003, 2.2, 1.3-3.6), PDA 0.005, 2.0, 1.1-3.5) PS 0.004, 1.5-9.4), heavy metals 7.3, 2.0-27.6) s-ASD 0.034, 6.5, 1.1-36.7). Paternal 1.6, 1.0-2.4) 0.026, 2.4, 1.1-5.2), 0.027, 1.5, 1.0-2.2) PmVSD. In conclusion, some specific EDs, particular compounds, an increased risk CHD phenotypes. However, findings need be considered more circumspectly regarding a crude measure probabilities small numbers.
