摘要: Abstract The helical dimeric copper(II) complex, [Cu(dapsbz)]2 (dapsbz = doubly deprotonated form of the 2,6-diacetylpyridine Schiff base S-benzyldithiocarbazate) has been synthesized and structurally characterized. Each in dimer acts as a doubly negatively charged N3S2 pentadentate chelating agent, providing three donor atoms, viz. pyridine nitrogen atom, azomethine atom thiolate sulfur to one copper ion second ion. stereochemistry adopted by each is five-coordinate, approximately square-pyramidal, with CuN3S2 coordination core. In nickel(II) [Ni(dapsme)]2 (dapsme = doubly S-methyldithiocarbazate), also coordinates two ions but here ligand bridging atom. atoms arm coordinate nickel whereas other same being distorted octahedral NiN4S2 sphere.
