摘要: Finding new ways to improve health and safety management in construction continues generate much interest. Despite a reduction deaths, injuries ill recent years, UK still has high rates of fatal major compared other industries. One the key concerns is difficulty organisational learning manifested as reactive responses issues. The Olympic Delivery Authority launched legacy programme conjunction with industry, government academia capture important lessons learnt number areas, including safety. Communication long been considered an factor implementation initiatives. Previous research typically focused on programmes run by single organisations. London 2012 Park project offered unique opportunity investigate impact initiatives communication across range organisations working side side. It also exciting track messages they are communicated workforce. main aim this was evaluate used at terms workers, workers’ awareness, attitude behaviour, transfer knowledge within outside Park. A semistructured inventory survey workforce (managers, supervisors workers) using interviews focus groups seven sites. follow-up conducted after three months, which time were held non-Olympic comparison Data collected through observation meetings document review. data analysed template analysis line communication–human information processing (C–HIP) model. into out Park, processes issues identified from analysis. results produce industry recommendations that applicable beyond realm mega project. Important include, but not limited to, role client, need for planning comprehension behaviour. most recommendation methods should be more traditional projects.
