Variation in Mating Systems of Fallow Deer (Dama dama) in Relation to Ecology

摘要: Variation in mating systems of fallow deer (Dama dama L.) was studied wild and park populations could be broadly distinguished into 7 categories: following, harems, dominance groups, stands, temporary multiple leks. The ecological factors which exerted the greatest influence on were buck density, doe habitat structure tree cover, resulting pronounced changes degree type territoriality observed.
