摘要: PURPOSE. To investigate tear film dynamics using simultaneous measurements of ocular aberrations and lower meniscus. METHODS. Simultaneous wavefront aberration meniscus were performed for 11 normal eyes 7 with short break-up time (SBUT) dry eye, a shorter than 5 seconds, sensor an anterior segment optical coherence tomography (OCT). During the measurement, subjects instructed to blink every 6 seconds total 30 seconds. From measured aberration, root mean square (RMS) error volume modulation transfer function (vMTF) induced by changes in calculated 5-mm pupil. Lower height (TMH) area (TMA) estimated from cross-sectional OCT images RESULTS. There was positive correlation between RMS dimensions negative vMTF both groups. moderate correlations postblink initial change baseline TMH (R = -0.61) TMA -0.54) SBUT that stronger -0.37, R -0.38). CONCLUSIONS. Tear increase over time, quantity before has significant role maintaining integrity, especially eye. measurement quality potential improve understanding stability eyes.
