Topical anesthesia for inferior rectus recession in thyroid ophthalmopathy.

摘要: The restrictive hypotropia seen in thyroid patients is most commonly due to an infiltrative myopathy of the inferior rectus muscle. With described technique, using topical anesthesia, degree muscle contraction and inelasticity determines where should be placed permit full upgaze. This provides correction with least possible amount recession.
