摘要: Background hospitalized patients with serious infections treated aminoglycosides are at risk of developing nephrotoxicity. Previous clinical studies have shown that the pharmacokinetics in humans follow a circadian rhythm. Therefore, time administration could important implications respect to aminoglycoside-associated nephrotoxicity once daily dosing regimens. Objective To examine effect period on aminoglycoside exposure and incidence large population infections. Setting General ward intensive care unit teaching hospital. Method In this retrospective cohort study, intravenous tobramycin or gentamicin were eligible for inclusion. Patients divided into three groups by administration: morning, afternoon night. Main outcome measure Pharmacokinetic parameters incidences compared between evening groups. Results 310 general 411 included. No significant differences found patient characteristics night The did not affect Conclusion has no dosed patients. Consequently, we advise be administered as soon possible case (suspected) severe hospital-acquired subsequent dosages based therapeutic drug monitoring optimize efficacy/toxicity balance.
