摘要: Bacterial pathogens often target conserved cellular mechanisms within their hosts to rewire signaling pathways and facilitate infection. Rho GTPases are important nodes eukaryotic networks thus constitute a common of pathogen-mediated manipulation. A diverse array microbial exists interfere with GTPase signaling. While targeting by secreted bacterial effectors is well-known strategy employ the host, we have recently described pathogen adhesion as novel extracellular stimulus that hijacks host The Multivalent Adhesion Molecule MAM7 from Vibrio parahaemolyticus directly binds cell membrane lipids. ensuing coalescence phosphatidic acid ligands in leads downstream activation RhoA actin rearrangements.
