摘要: The vertical distribution of biomass, nutrients, and concentrations secondary defence compounds in the current annual growth main winter forage trees (birch willows) herbivores was studied mountain range northern Scandinavia. In addition, availability relation to snow accumulation through-out winter. quantity quality improved with height trees, i.e. biomass nitrogen increased, fi bre decreased. concentration defensive increased for willow, but decreased birch. Shoots willow were better than negative effect higher levels total birch may some extent be balanced by their nutrient content as compared that how-ever had more available within heights browsed herbivores. Although signifi cant effects on availability, entire small.
