摘要: The principles of systematic conservation planning are now widely used by governments and non-government organizations alike to develop biodiversity plans for countries, states, regions, ecoregions. Many the species ecosystems these were designed conserve being affected climate change, there is a critical need incorporate new complementary approaches into that will aid in adjusting potential change impacts. We propose five adaptation can be integrated existing or plans: (1) conserving geophysical stage, (2) protecting climatic refugia, (3) enhancing regional connectivity, (4) sustaining ecosystem process function, (5) capitalizing on opportunities emerging response change. discuss both key assumptions behind each approach trade-offs involved using planning. also summarize additional data beyond those typically required implement approaches. A major strength they largely robust uncertainty how impacts may manifest any given region.
