Anabolic-androgenic steroid use and involvement in violent behavior in a nationally representative sample of young adult males in the United States.

摘要: We examined the effects of anabolic-androgenic steroid use on serious violent behavior. Multivariate models based data from National Longitudinal Study Adolescent Health (N = 6823) were used to examine association between lifetime and past-year self-reported involvement in acts. Compared with individuals who did not steroids, young adult males steroids reported greater behaviors after we controlled for key demographic variables, previous behavior, polydrug use.
