摘要: The effects of inhaling 5 per cent carbon dioxide in air on the pulmonary arterial blood pressure and flow were studied subjects with normal circulations 10 patients chronic emphysema. In control subjects, an average increase P CO CO2 6 mm. Hg (37 to 43) a 3-fold minute ventilation, both remained unchanged. emphysema similar (45 52) 2-fold there was 14 cardiac output rise mean 4 Hg. these increment invariably associated appreciable flow. present study affords no support for view that breathing enriched elicits vasoconstriction either or disease.
