摘要: The genes encoding the envelope glycoprotein H (gH) and gB homologues were identified by sequencing genomic clones of human herpesvirus-7 (HHV-7), strain JI. A cDNA clone from HHV-7 AL was also identified. deduced primary translation products gH are a protein 690 amino acids, with predicted mass 80.4 kD, 822 93.3 respectively. Both proteins have characteristics transmembrane glycoproteins, containing signal sequence motifs characterized presence 10 11 (gB) potential for N-glycosylation. Comparison acid homologous sequences other herpesviruses reveals closest homology HHV-6 (38.8% identity gH, 56.2% gB). In addition, significant similarity observed between homologs encoded cytomegalovirus (21.6% 37.6% No differences existed two different strains analyzed. expressed transiently in eukaryotic cells specifically recognized an HHV-7-reactive serum immunofluorescence assays.
