Evaluation of cold chain monitoring in Kelantan, Malaysia.

摘要: An analysis was carried out on a total of 883 cold chain monitor (CCM) cards, which had been attached to batches poliomyelitis, measles, DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus) and hepatitis B vaccines, during their transport storage from the central store in Kuala Lumpur Kelantan, state north-eastern Malaysia; 234 freeze watches vaccines were also analysed. The cards observed at six levels between periphery distribution colour change any four windows (A, B, C, D) CCM or recorded. In addition, 33 unopened vials oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV), collected refrigerators 29 health facilities tested for potency using tissue culture infective dose 50 (TCID50) method; 14 them (42%) did not meet WHO criteria potent vaccines. results showed that final destination 13.4% all remained white while blue 65% window A, 16.6% 4.4% C; none turned D indicating subjected temperatures > = 34 degrees C 2 hours. All but purple, indicates exposure below 0 degree C. These will assist planners correct weaknesses identified system.
