摘要: The efficacy of low power laser stimulation in the treatment chronic oro-facial pain conditions was investigated a double-blind placebo controlled modified cross-over study 40 patients. an invisible infrared (IR) diode with emission at 904 nanometer (nm). Treatment effect evaluated by means VAS-scales and global assessment pain. Outcome correlated to changes urinary excretion 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA). clinical impression that superior stimulation. No statistically significant difference between analgesic irradiation found on VAS-scales. A (P = 0.05) increase 5-HIAA group.
