摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes the scar reduction mechanism mediated by astroglia comparing behavior of highly purified populations immature vs. mature astrocytes, when transferred on Millipore filters into brains adult rodents. Immature which are enriched in culture for four days and seeded onto nitro-cellulose, can reduce formation implanted P60 acallosal mice. However, cultured astrocytes somewhat less effective reducing than their direct donor to host counterparts. Mature have been shown produce neurotrophic outgrowth promoting factors. Upon reaching implant, young astrocyte acts as a kind cellular suture, knitting cortex filter extending processes both. Myelin debris itself has implicated axon outgrowth, but not migration fibroblasts. These factors all conspire an adversive environment regenerating that is distinctly different from observed during development. Thus, only permanent sanctuary may be inappropriate synaptic connections.
