摘要: The interaction between uncharged polymer and nonionic surfactants is usually weak or nonexistent, except for the association polyacids ethoxylated surfactants. In this paper we have studied poly(acrylic acid) an nonyl phenol ether. Below pH 3 insoluble complex forms, which redissolves on addition of excess surfactant. While amount surfactant required to form maximum precipitate redissolve linearly dependent concentration, that onset precipitation not. Despite polydisperse nature ethoxylate chain, little fractionation after was observed. preferentially partitioned into water rather than dodecane, where polymer/surfactant formed; in case dissolved mainly forming a gel containing oil. origins effect solution conditions ch...
