摘要: Functionalized membrane processes are finding wide applications ranging from water treatment to reactors advanced bioseparations. In this chapter, of functionalized membranes in the area sorption, separation, and reaction discussed with specific examples. Selected examples for sorption include ethoxylated nonionic surfactants hydrophobic solvent metal aqueous solutions. Membranes either single layer or layer-by-layer assembly charged polyelectrolytes have been separation various ionic neutral solutes. Charge-based ion exclusion highly open geometries high permeabilities is a distinct advantage ionizable polyelectrolyte membranes. Applications by providing alternative support catalyst immobilization reference catalytic dechlorination chloro-organics. It was demonstrated that situ formation immobilized structured bimetallic nanoparticles offers an efficient way complete toxic chloro-organics at room temperature.
