Environmental monitoring and evaluation in Sub-Sahara Africa – a state of the art review.

摘要: The knowledge and understanding of the environmental related problems associated with development activities has increased rapidly in recent years. Consequently, arise adoption appraisal tools for monitoring performance is also evidenced a number countries. In Sub-Sahara African (SSA) region, instance, policy regulation reform been intensified over past two decades demonstrating governments’ initiatives addressing environmental, social economic aspects sustainability. This paper reviews extent contribution instruments make evaluating impacts to building industry SSA. Basing on reviewed literature an ongoing PhD research, it noted that there need appropriate information data which proposed policies are be based. Also different stakeholders, researchers public sector participate not only formulation but defining sustainability local context considered as basis formulation.
