摘要: Purpose Nurses with specialised knowledge, experience and education are needed to provide specific care in nursing subspecialties such as child adolescent mental health (CAMH) nursing. However, some of these attributes implicit not clear the wider community. The purpose this paper is explore applicability a conceptual framework for CAMH inpatient practice other areas practice. This presents an exploratory study regarding two small cohorts nurses. was conducted Tasmania, Australia Northern Denmark. These settings were chosen due self-perceived knowledge gap surrounding role professional identity Australian Danish nurses. Design/methodology/approach An qualitative within social constructivist paradigm undertaken. method data collection focus groups nurses analysed using adaptation six-phase thematic analysis process. Findings The resulted three themes: individual preparation nurses, transfer nurses’ perceptions their team roles. findings have contributed new nursing. Originality/value The may support participants’ endorsing that it reflects role.
