摘要: Parasites of the genus Orientobilharzia belong to Platyhelminthes, Trematoda, Digenea, Schistosomatidae, and type species is turkestanicum. O. turkestanicum was first described by Skrjabin from cattle in Russian Turkestan 1913. Adult worms live portal veins or intestinal cattle, sheep other mammals, often cause orientobilharziasis China, India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran Asia, Russia Turkey Europe. More importantly, cercariae can infect humans cercarial dermatitis. Though have been confirmed as zoonotic agents, they largely neglected, compared with pathogens causing dermatitis, such Trichobilharzia spp., Schistosoma spindale Bilharziella sp., which attracted considerable attention. Here we review current status knowledge on taxonomy human animal infections address some considerations for further work systematics pathogenesis these organisms.
