摘要: The neglected blood flukes Orientobilharzia spp. belonging to the Platyhelminthes, infect animals in a number of countries world, and cause cercarial dermatitis humans, as well significant diseases even death economically-important animals. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are now considered be key mechanism gene regulation. Herein, we investigated global miRNA expression profile adult O. turkestanicum using next-generation sequencing technology real-time quantitative PCR, gain further information on role these molecules host invasion parasitic lifestyle this species. A total 13.48 million high quality reads were obtained out 13.78 raw reads, with 828 expressed miRNAs identified. Phylogenetic analysis showed that still rapidly evolving there was “directed mutation” pattern compared other Target mRNAs successfully predicted 518 miRNAs. These targets included energy metabolism, transcription initiation factors, signal transduction, growth factor receptors. targeting egg proteins, including major antigen p40, heat shock proteins also found. Enrichment indicated enrichment for involved catalytic, binding, regulators translation regulators. present study represented first large-scale characterization miRNAs, which provides novel resources better understanding complex biology zoonotic parasite, which, turn, has implications effective control disease it causes.
