摘要: Simultaneous coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and carotid endarterectomy (CE) were performed on 133 patients over an eight-year period. Twenty-seven (20%) had previous TIAs, 12 (9%) strokes, the remainder asymptomatic (71%). All greater than 85% stenosis of internal demonstrated by noninvasive ultrasound four-vessel angiography. CE was prior to sternotomy for under same anesthesia. Nineteen bilateral disease. Postoperatively three suffered strokes (2.2%), additional (2.2%) transient upper extremity weakness; one patient from each these groups died. There no post-op or TIAs in with Average length cf hospital stay 10 days. Our experiences lead us conclude that morbidity/mortality simultaneous procedure is not affected We believe symptomatic disease disease, a high grade stenosis, repair both lesions should be undertaken.
