摘要: This paper reports on the combined solar photo-Fenton/biological treatment of an industrial effluent (initial total organic carbon, TOC, around 500 mg L−1) containing a non-biodegradable substance (α-methylphenylglycine at L−1), focusing pilot plant tests performed for design plant, itself and layout. Pilot have demonstrated that biodegradability enhancement is closely related to disappearance parent compound, which certain illumination time hydrogen peroxide consumption are required, working pH 2.8 adding Fe2+ = 20 L−1. Based results, with 100 m2 CPC collectors 250 L/h capacity has been designed. The system discharges wastewater (WW) pre-treated by photo-Fenton into biotreatment based immobilized biomass reactor. First, results also presented, demonstrating it able treat up L h−1 average ultraviolet radiation 22.9 W m−2, under same conditions (pH, consumption) tested in plant. © 2007 Elsevier B.V.
