摘要: A longitudinal model that tested mediating pathways between protective family processes and HIV-related behavior was evaluated with 195 African American youth. Three waves of data were collected when the youth 13, 15, 19 years old. Evidence mediation temporal priority assessed for three constructs: academic engagement, evaluations prototypical risk-taking peers, affiliations risk-promoting peers. Structural equation modeling indicated during early adolescence associated emerging adulthood peers accounted this association. a specific pathway emerged: → engagement negative peers→ behavior. Academic also direct predictor risk
