Family management practice, school achievement, and problem behavior in African American adolescents: Mediating processes

摘要: The association of mothers' report family management practices (e.g., routine and parental achievement expectations) with school achievement, engagement, problem behavior was assessed among African American mothers adolescents. Findings revealed that positively associated adolescents' attendance, attention to schoolwork, sense challenge, negatively related in school. Mothers' expectations were youngsters' attendance. Students' attendance also behavior, mediated the relation behavior. Adolescent perceptions students' achievement. implications findings for addressing behavioral problems through programming are discussed.
