摘要: Abstract Transpassive dissolution of iron and nickel in 5 M NaClO 3 6 NaNO has been investigated a flow channel cell allowing for controlled hydrodynamic conditions. Applied current density ranged up to 33 A/cm 2 , applied rates 1760 cm/s. The influence mass transport on efficiency metal dissolution, apparent anode potential surface microtextures resulting from was investigated. Obtained results confirm that all these parameters are influenced by processes but secondary effects such as gas evolution, hydroxide precipitation, homogeneous chemical reactions, or joule beating many cases interfere with convective phenomena the solution. Optimisation ECM operating conditions modelling tool design applications require intimate knowledge electrochemical behavior metal-electrolyte combination employed.
