摘要: Home-range is the area used by an animal in its daily activities. studies provide data on species mating systems and territorial behavior. Our main goal was to estimate Didelphis albiventris (Lund 1840) home-range Mutum Island, Parana River, Brazil. The study carried out 2008 from March October a 19.20 ha grid. island part of River Islands Floodlands Federal Environmental Protection Area, with vegetation composed Alluvial Semideciduous Seasonal Forest region Subtropical Wet climate. sampling effort 3,360 traps-night resulting 152 captures. Forty-one individuals were captured 42 capture stations, trap placed floor another understory (2 m high). animals mostly terrestrial, independently age or sex. Four females five males, which recaptured at least times, calculate home- range using minimum convex polygon method. mean 2.33 ± 2.32 ha, similar previous estimates provided other methods, suggesting that our grid area, larger than usually applied for mark-capture this species, have not underestimated home-ranges. Evidences relation between individual body mass observed. overlaps occurred males females; average overlap 33.74%, may be related promiscuous system, suggests female territoriality.
