摘要: Community treatment orders (CTOs) are legal mechanisms by which an individual with a mental illness and history of non-compliance potential for violence can be mandated (against their will) to undergo psychiatric in outpatient setting. Although CTOs increasingly being adopted governments as means protecting both mentally ill persons society itself, use continues stimulate considerable debate. While there is some evidence benefits promoting compliance reducing hospital stays, concern that they infringe on the health client's human rights freedoms. Consideration ethical practical implications must continue. In this paper, most pressing issues identified discussed.
