摘要: Abstract Ischaemic stroke is among the most common yet intractable types of central nervous system (CNS) injury in adult human population. In acute stages disease, neurons ischaemic lesion rapidly die and other neuronal populations penumbra are vulnerable to secondary injury. Multiple parallel approaches being investigated develop neuroprotective, reparative regenerative strategies for treatment stroke. Accumulating evidence indicates that cerebral ischaemia initiates an endogenous response within brain potentiates neurogenesis from neural stem progenitor cells. A major research focus has been understand cellular molecular mechanisms underlie potentiation appreciate how interventions designed modulate these processes could enhance regeneration post-ischaemic brain. this review, we highlight recent advances over last 5 years help unravel potentiate following dissecting functional importance mechanism This article part a Directed Issue entitled: Regenerative Medicine: challenge translation.
