摘要: During cell division in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae mother cells produce buds (daughter cells) which are smaller and have longer cycles. We performed experiments to compare lengths of cycle phases mothers daughters. As anticipated from earlier indirect observations, time daughter is accounted for by a G1 interval. The S-phase G2-phase same duration cells. An analysis five isogenic strains shows that phase independent ploidy mating type.
