摘要: Psychological contracts are expectations of reciprocal obligations between an employee and organization which held by the employee. Research has shown that victims who experience psychological contract breach may seek to retaliate towards offending organization. Little research investigated how a can be remediated. The present study effects group apology reparation on victim‟s sense power revenge cognition after contract. Participants were asked imagine themselves in vignette student experiences their academic department. outcome scenario differed according condition they assigned: received no response from department, reparations, apology, or with reparations. All participants then completed same series measures, including power, cognitions, likelihood transmit negative rumor, calculus-based trust, identification-based trust. Results showed reparations elicited greater less victim compared not receiving response. Receiving did increase decrease cognition. Additionally, effect is mediated Implications for these results suggest if breaches wishes repair relationship victim, should focus offering adequate as helpful diffusing retaliation.
