摘要: The surgical sectioning of the corpus callosum for relief intractable epilepsy has provided a unique research opportunity to study competence and processing capacities cerebral hemispheres. Sperry Gazzaniga have initiated this type in humans, considerable evidence now accumulated showing that each isolated hemisphere can perceive, think, memorize, learn independently essentially outside realm awareness other (Gazzaniga, press; Sperry, 1982). This been referred as disconnection syndrome served basis discussion brain-mind relationships suggestion splitting brain results state mental duality. In chapter, I will not dwell on specific skills hemispheres such, but rather examine more general aspect split-brain functioning bears implications issue must mention at outset experiments reported herein constitute only preliminary set studies, be able offer an unequivocal account data which fact raise questions than they answer.
