摘要: Carotid body feedback and hypoxia may serve to enhanced respiratory-sympathetic nerve coupling (respSNA) act as a driver of increased blood pressure. Using the Lewis Polycystic Kidney rat (LPK) model chronic kidney disease, we examined respSNA in adult female rodents with CKD their response acute or hypercapnia compared control animals. Under urethane anaesthesia, phrenic activity, splanchnic sympathetic activity (sSNA) renal (rSNA) were recorded under baseline conditions, during mild hypoxic hypercapnic challenges. At baseline, tonic SNA pressure greater LPK rats vs. (all P 0.05). These results demonstrate that PKD at exhibit heightened is further augmented by hypoxia, not hypercapnia. This mechanism be contributing hypertension this animal model.
