摘要: BACKGROUND: Few epidemiological studies of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have been conducted in Australia, and current management practice levels unmet need this country are not well characterised. AIM: To perform a systematic literature review to identify Australia-specific information on SLE, particularly areas need. METHODS: MEDLINE, EMBASE the Cochrane Library were searched (1 January 1990 29 November 2013). All articles prevalence, disease characteristics, outcomes SLE Australia included. RESULTS: There is limited published Australia. Of 24 included, 18 described results from observational studies, three narrative reviews, one was clinical update, two medical education articles. Pregnancy also adversely affected. Many with experience high need, including delayed diagnosis, ongoing symptoms, flares, depression/anxiety, sleeping difficulty decreased quality life. Published guidance dated. CONCLUSIONS: limited, but suggests that ethnicity affect prevalence characteristics many needs.
