摘要: Introduction: Some studies have shown a potential association between oxytocin use during labour and autism spectrum disorder in children (ASD). We performed systematic review of recent examining this association. Methods: Boolean operators (AND/OR) were used to search MEDLINE using the following criteria: Autistic Disorder or Autism Spectrum Labour Induction Augmentation. Articles published English 2013 later considered. Additional identified by reviewing citations. Only conducted on people included. Studies not accounting for confounding factors excluded. Results: Four retrospective cohort met inclusion criteria. One showed an induction augmentation ASD, one weak boys no ASD. The largest study which was significant when siblings analyzed separately. Discussion conclusions: Recently do support hypothesis causal relationship Benefits medically indicated outweigh theoretical risk
