摘要: Abstract During 1979, cocoons of the ichneumonid Sphecophaga vesparum hurra (Cresson), a parasitoid some Vespinae, were imported from Washington State, USA to New Zealand. Two adults and four raised in quarantine on Vespula germanica (F.), German wasp, field released, but there was no evidence establishment. Subsequent imports S. (Curtis) Europe propagated mainly recently immigrant V. vulgaris (L.), Common wasp. Thirteen generations v. by July 1985, all stages released into wasp nests Canterbury. Six seven three six parasitised. Although releases occurred late growth cycle nests, at least one generation parasitoids emerged V nest. One probably developed two parasitoids. Parasitoid numbers this nest increased approximately eight-fold.
