摘要: Abstract Certain organic liquids like ethanol in water are considered hazardous and have an enormous environmental impact since it is toxic classified as class I flammable liquids. Remote sensing with complex sensors a common technique for detecting tracking spillages of spillages. Most the applied remote methods suffer from location control issues that force user to be at exact spot during operation. The present work introduces simple highly sensitive tapered multimode optical fiber (TMOF) sensor coated carbon nanotubes (CNT) applications. new proposed ability transfer signals data collection center about 3 km was investigated. Ethanol utilized index solution tested work. attached silica characterized towards different concentrations de-ionized room temperature. Various characterization techniques investigated detailed structural properties layer. experimental results demonstrated exhibits rapid response recovery times 8.7 s 18 s, respectively, relative absorbance 26% upon exposure 100% ethanol. attains overall sensitivity 1.3/vol% low (0.01–0.5%).
