摘要: Summary Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is defined as presence serum monoclonal protein at a concentration 3 g per deciliter or less, no only moderate amounts light chains in urine, absence lytic bone lesions, anemia, hypercalemia, and renal insufficiency related with protein, proportion plasma cells marrow 10% less. In Caucasian population, MGUS affects about 3% individuals > 70 years age, whereas Mexican mestizos this figure substantially lower (0.7%); on the other hand, represents Mexico 2.4% all gammopathies. total 9081 studied prospectively Centro de Hematologia y Medicina Interna Puebla throughout 20-year period, 11 patients were identified. Median age was (range 43-83 years). Patients have been followed periods ranging from 6 to 3270 days (median, 308 days). Two evolved into overt multiple myeloma 1687 after diagnosis MGUS. Overall median survival (SV) group has not reached, whereas3270 overall SV 91%. After discussing underreporting, biasing, confounding factors, it would seem that MGUS, like gammopathies, less frequent than Caucasians. Routine screening studies identify condition should result increased numbers patients.
