摘要: The sizes and compositions of bacterial populations found on leaves greenhouse field grown tomato plants were studied by dilution plating, fatty acid methyl ester analysis (FAME), BIOLOG plates isolates in pure cultures. In the greenhouse, overhead-irrigated sustained higher microbial (up to 105 cfu g−1) than soil-irrigated (103 g−1). Strains isolated from a vegetable garden (n=216) greenhouse-grown (n=114) subjected FAME analysis. Similarly, strains field-grown (n=83) identified using plates. each case, dominated few genera. When concentrated phyllosphere washes (CPW) sprayed greenhouse-grown, plants, leaf more CFU g−1 for 4 days; sterile buffer-sprayed less 104 g−1. No significant enrichment any strain could be detected identification randomly selected colonies. However, when recurring saprophytic species (both Gram-positive Gram-negative) these experiments outdoors tested epiphytic colonization under stressful conditions, all still at various levels up days after inoculation, indicating differential fitness. non-epiphytic bacteriaEscherichia coli andAzospirillum brasilense disappeared surface within same experimental period.
