Preliminary Study on Drying of Stingless Bee Pot Pollen Using Novel Fluidized Bed Dryer with Swirling Distributor

摘要: High moisture content in raw pot pollen increases the activity of microorganisms, thus promotes fermentation and causes rapid deterioration. Hence, objective this study is to dry stingless bees by a novel fluidized bed dryer. The experimental analysis was conducted based on flowrate, airflow temperature, power consumption sample mass. It found that mass can be reduced 6.86 % 30 minutes drying operation. temperature rise also minimal up average 31.5 C. This significantly impact not only nutrients, but flavour aroma. Moreover, total energy consumed 212.57 Wh, which considered low. preliminary showed feasibility using
