摘要: Fast-forward playback enables viewers to scan through the video scene of interest efficiently. One approach realize fast-forward is employ a frame-skipping transcoder which transcodes only frames required for at desired fast speed. Various motion vector composition algorithms are used compose new vectors with reduced complexity. These do not work well dropping large number frames, very common in playback. In this paper, multiple-candidate selection algorithm (MCVS) proposed select composed from set candidate vectors, utilizes relevant areas target macroblock ensure reliable tracking process composition. Experimental results show that MCVS can provide transcoding significant gain, terms rate-distortion performance, especially when speed-up factor required.
