A fast motion vector composition method for temporal transcoding

摘要: When some incoming frames are dropped for the frame-rate conversion in transcoding, new motion vectors outgoing bit-stream need to be computed. In this paper, we propose a fast vector composition method followed by refinement scheme generate from instead of performing full-scale estimation. The proposed performs better and is simpler than conventional bilinear interpolation. We also discuss fast-search scheme. provides video quality comparable that achieved full-search estimation but with much less computations.
