摘要: Lubricating materials for use in a vacuum environment have been the subject of series experimental investigations. Evaporation properties were evaluated solid polymeric compositions. Friction and wear studies explored behavior during sliding contact compositions, binary alloys containing soft film-forming phases, complex with materials, burnished MoS2 film. experiments conducted at 10(exp-9)mm Hg 3/16-inch-radius-hemisphere rider specimen on flat surface rotating 2-1/2-inch-diameter disk that had low rates evaporation. The influence fillers polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) decomposition friction was determined mass spectrometer. A real advantage reducing improving is gained by adding (e.g., copper) improve thermal conductivity through composite materials. polyimide an epoxy-MoS2 composition material found to better than PTFE (cast as well more alloys) contained microinclusions potential studied. These replaced normal oxides they worn away contact. Iron sulfide, nickel oxide, tin are typical employed demonstrated be effective inhibiting welding friction. film applied type 440-C stainless steel argon wire brush good endurance but somewhat higher commercially available bonded films. An oil markedly reduced its life.
