The Pathological Gambler and his Spouse: How do their Narratives Match?

摘要: This case study compares the narratives of a pathological gambler and his spouse concerning family, marital individual matters. It does so through identifying each key players' individually (analysis self-report questionnaires) interactively (couples therapy sessions analysis). The results show that has rather more positive view gambling-related issues than spouse, this fact is most apparent when it comes to family issues. gambler's perspective less non-relationship (financial professional issues). A few hypotheses are put forward explain these summarized in three effects: denial, idealization/guilt relief, disappointment/retaliation. Some implications for clinical practice also identified, such as need set objectives which truly shared by both members couple, well guidelines future research, studies focused on gender differences.
