摘要: Allelic association case-control analysis of a deletion/insertion polymorphism in the serotonin transporter-linked polymorphic region (5-HTTLPR) has suggested associations with unipolar disorder, bipolar depression, and Alzheimer’s disease. Moreover, heterozygous long form 5-HTTLPR been associated increased levels mRNA for transporter (5-HTT) uptake lymphoblastic cell lines. This study attempts to determine whether there is an between genotype schizophrenia or binding [3H]paroxetine human hippocampal 5-HTT. DNA from cerebellum 58 schizophrenic 62 control subjects was used 5-HTTLPR. In addition, relationship affinity density 5-HTT assessed. There were no allotype and/or parameters Our data suggest that neither confers susceptibility nor dictates expression hippocampus.
